sedak starts fact sheet series

Expert knowledge in compact form

Specialist knowledge about glass directly from the source of new ideas: this is what the new fact sheets from sedak provide. The first themes to be covered are “anisotropies”, “bullet-resistant glass” and “lamination”. Compact and easy to understand but technically detailed, the information sheets focus on specific technical aspects of glass.

With oversized glass panes and the development of pioneering glass technologies – especially lamination and printing techniques – sedak has become a technology leader in the industry. The company has now published this expert knowledge in fact sheets for specific areas. This provides specialists in architecture and civil engineering with compact, easily understandable and yet technically detailed information on glass quality, production technologies and design etc. These are the initial themes:

  • Anisotropies explains which factors of influence cause optical irregularities to occur and which possibilities there are to reduce them.
  • Bullet-resistant glass provides an overview of the different bullet-resistance classes and explains which level of protection can be achieved with which glass construction.
  • Lamination discusses the determining factors for high-quality glass laminates and compares different lamination procedures.

With bird protection and printed glass further themes are already being prepared. The fact sheets are available free of charge as PDF downloads at sedak.de.
