Controlling doors safely and reliably<\/strong><\/p>\n

They are hardly ever seen, but are used almost every day: garage door drives. They make door control comfortable and they increase break-in protection. Now Teckentrup is introducing a further developed generation to the market. The drives 12.2, 20.2 and 40.2 use „Rolling Codes“ so that the radio signal cannot be seized by thieves. Performance features have also been improved and the programming simplified.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An electric drive is already a standard equipment element of a garage door today: Being able to control the door from your car is a comfort demand of most owners. With the models 12.2, 20.2 and 40.2, the garage door specialist Teckentrup (Verl) is now presenting a new drive family, which increases break-in protection and is particularly durable.<\/p>\n

The drives are designed with varying degrees of strength so that there is an optimum drive for every door: For a comparatively light door for a single garage, the drive does not require the same power as a large double garage door with high door leaf weights. In principle, a door is better protected from break-in attempts with a drive. However, in the past, there were thieves who had detected the radio code of the drive when using the remote control \u2013 and were then able to simply open the garage with a now-programmed remote control. That is no longer possible with the new drives: A „rolling code“ is now being employed. This means that a new code is being assigned to each individual control \u2013 similar to the safety standard used in online banking.<\/p>\n

There are different ways of controling the drive: In addition to the practical remote control, there is a code switch (numerical code) or a key-operated switch, which can be operated using the house door key.<\/p>\n

If you park your wet car in the garage after pouring rain, for example, the door can be moved into a vent position. The upper section remains slightly tilted in order to ventilate the garage.<\/p>\n

High standards are also being set in the operating safety: As soon as the door touches an object, it stops and moves back up into the open position. If you want to ensure that it does not come into contact with anything, an additional safety light barrier can be used to stop the drive before it collides with an obstacle.<\/p>\n

<\/td>\n<\/td>\nGarage door drives are assembled under the ceiling. They are equipped with a light which is connected to the drive: If the door moves up, the light switches on.<\/p>\n

Darkness, rain, cold \u2013 it is particularly convenient in these cases if the garage can be opened without you having to leave your car.<\/p>\n
